Joseph Master class workshop through to performance with Marc Henderson (Urban Voices Collective) and Principal Christina Yates. To book your child a place click here
The musical is based on the biblical tale of Joseph, son of Jacob, who is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers after he receives the gift of a splendid coat from his father. The story began as a concept album in 1969 before receiving its professional debut at the Edinburgh International Festival in 1972. The show has been translated into a film, toured extensively and sparked a reality television series to find the next Joseph for the stage, all the while clocking up myriad awards. Not many people would fail to recognise the show’s most famous songs, such as “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door to Me”.
The workshop days will focus on singing technique, audition preparation characterisation culminating in a fully staged and costumed presentation on the Friday. For tickets for the Friday matinee click here!
